ShopLowVision.com is doing its part to help the environment by trying to reduce our number of catalogs printed. In our effort to follow the Paper Reduction Act of 1995 we are asking our customers to please download a PDF of our catalogs over requesting a print copy.

Anyone who enjoys the convenience of ordering from catalogs also knows the annoyance of finding your mailbox stuffed with mail-order solicitations. Every year, the U.S. catalog industry mails some 19.5 billion catalogs, or 71 for every man, woman, and child! Producing and disposing of this much paper -- 3.6 million tons of it in 2000 -- uses vast amounts of wood, energy and water, and generates pollutants and solid waste. The fact that most catalogs are made of virgin paper rather than recycled makes the problem worse.
